step by step
website design process
step 1 - the brief
A clear idea of what you want, combined with our knowledge of the on-line world, we will agree on a direction for the website design and function.
step 2 - the graphic design and brand positioning
We provide three completely different ideas to help you visualise how you want the site to look. Through discussion of the designs we would then develop and fine tune a chosen design, which would give you a good idea of what your final website is going to look like and the message it is delivering.
step 3 - keyword optimisation
this is where we check out your competition and look at typical keywords and phrases that you would like to be ranked highly in the Google listings. These keywords and quanitiy of keywords would
then be taken into account for the design and build of the site.
step 4 - constructing the website templates
creation of the
home page and other unique templates. This has is crucial stage of the website process, as should the template need to be changed close to completion, it would pretty much mean starting from scratch on the build side of things.
step 5 - build and content optimisation
once all images and content elements have been collected from the both designer and client, the build of the rest of the website will be completed using the signed off templates.
step 6 - going live
now your website is completed ...its time to go live. Your web URL will be submitted to the main search engine providers i.e. Google, Msn, Yahoo which will tell them that your site exists and will get you on that ladder. Should your website be content managed , full training and support will be provided.
step 7 - in-the media
It can take a while for those search engines to find you, but even so you shouldn't rely on them completely with todays blogs and company listings sites taking those high ranks. We can help you geographically target your audience with keywords using Google adwords campaign and track the performance of your website. Should you have an existing database of email addresses we can create you an email marketing campaign to drive the recipients to the site and again track the campaign performance.
step 8 - on-paper
don't forget your more traditional methods of graphic design. We can create ad campaigns, exhibition stands or direct mail to drive the target audience to your new website resource.
